Founded in 1964 by Frank Eccleshare O.B.E., LACE Housing was established to meet the housing and support needs of older people within the City of Lincoln.
Inspired by a survey initiated by the City of Lincoln Council, Frank - a master builder and City Councillor at the time - took on the challenge of addressing the housing needs of the elderly, encouraged by his wife’s vision and determination.
LACE Housing offers properties for sale through Shared Ownership leases, tailored for those aged 55 and over who meet the criteria for their leasehold schemes.
Purpose-built
These properties are either purpose-built or available within existing developments, providing secure and affordable housing options. Housing for sale is offered on a leasehold basis, with LACE Housing retaining freehold responsibility for maintaining communal areas and services under the terms of a lease agreement. A standard service charge applies to all Shared Ownership properties.
